A Photographer’s Guide to One of the Treasure Coast’s Most Beautiful Backdrops
If you’ve been dreaming of family photos that feel effortless, natural, and full of that golden Florida light, you’re going to love Dubois Park in Jupiter, Florida. It’s one of those rare locations that has everything — sparkling water, soft sand, swaying palms, and just enough variety to make your photos look like they were taken in multiple locations…
all within a short walk.
As a family photographer, I’ve shot all over the Treasure Coast, and Dubois Park remains one of my go-to spots for creating galleries that feel alive, relaxed, and full of connection.
Picture-Perfect Variety in One Place
Dubois Park offers such a diverse backdrop that your gallery will naturally feel full and dynamic. Within a few steps, you can go from soft sandy beaches to weathered wooden bridges, from calm lagoons to lush greenery under tropical palms. It’s the perfect mix of Florida coastal meets timeless charm.
Calm waters
Unlike open beaches where waves can be unpredictable, Dubois Park is home to a beautiful protected lagoon area that’s shallow and calm — perfect for little ones. Families can dip their toes in, splash around, or simply sit together at the water’s edge without worry.
Convenient and east to access
Located right in the heart of Jupiter, Dubois Park is easy for families to reach whether you’re local or visiting from nearby areas like Palm Beach Gardens or Port St. Lucie. There’s nearby parking, restrooms, and shaded picnic areas — all those little comforts that make your session go smoothly, especially with young kids.
For the softest, most flattering tones, I always recommend sunrise or golden hour (about an hour before sunset). The light during those times adds that magical warmth that makes skin tones glow and ocean water shimmer.
Keep your outfits simple and cohesive. Think light linens, soft pastels, or neutral tones that complement the beachy surroundings. Avoid bright neon colors or busy patterns that distract from the natural beauty around you.

Some tips for your session at dubois park

Dubois Park naturally encourages play and exploration. Don’t stress about keeping your little ones perfectly still — some of the most beautiful photos come from letting them just be kids.
Bring towels, wipes, a change of clothes for the kids, and maybe even a small snack or drink break halfway through. A few extra minutes of comfort can make a big difference in everyone’s mood (and in your final gallery).
